How about writing some stories of your childhood Christmases and saving these for Christmas afternoon and evening with the Christmas tea , sandwiches and cake ., perhaps around the fire with some candles ... ? 

My father came from Bethnal Green in the East End of London and was born there in the 1920's . In True East End Cockney tradition , he was a wonderful story teller and told stories rather than read them , when he put me to bed ....
